We take great pride in supporting Husky Rescue WA, a cause that is incredibly close to our hearts. Back in 2017, we adopted our special girl, Skye, from this wonderful organisation, and in honor of her, we named our business SKYE PETS. Without a doubt, our three Huskies—Jazz, Skye, and Roux— are the inspiration behind the existence of SKYE PETS today.

Established in 1999, Husky Rescue WA is a not-for-profit association with a crucial mission—to alleviate the suffering of animals by rescuing and rehoming Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, and other arctic breed dogs in Western Australia. Their dedication to this purpose prevents the unnecessary euthanasia of these beautiful dogs.

Every year, hundreds of Huskies and other arctic breeds find themselves in need of rescue across Australia. Some are abandoned or surrendered, while others have endured unimaginable abuse and neglect in their lives.

The team at Husky Rescue WA are devoted volunteers who selflessly dedicate their time to rescue these dogs, all while caring for their own pets and working full-time jobs. The demand for their assistance never ceases, and the number of dogs in need continues to grow.

Since the beginning of 2024 and as of March, Husky Rescue WA has already rescued 41 dogs, not far behind the 56 dogs rescued by them in the entirety of 2023, both of which are extremley high numbers and this organisation is just one of many rescues across Australia committed to aiding Arctic Breeds, which 

The challenges they face are significant, vet bills are steep, capacity is limited, and foster homes are in short supply, leaving some dogs waiting in kennels until they can find their forever homes.  Whether you're able to foster, volunteer, or make a donation, every bit helps Husky Rescue WA continue their mission.
